Established in 2009 by Jessyca Marshall, a Licensed Social Worker in Brooklyn, NY, Naturally Beautiful Hair Care aims to provide a holistic approach to hair care and beauty.
Recognizing the importance of addressing the emotional, social, psychological, spiritual, and health perspectives of beauty, there was discovered the need for such an approach that was largely lacking in the natural hair community. The use of all natural products are embraced and mental wellness, health, and spirituality are infused within our empowering beauty services resources. Our innovative small interwoven loc techniques have been able to create a multitude of expanded options for women in their natural hair care routines, as well as support the entrepreneurial efforts of many within the natural hair industry.

ABOUT OUR OWNER
Jessyca is a Licensed Masters Level Social Worker with a Bachelors in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Masters in Social Work from Columbia University. While serving as faculty at Columbia University School of Social Work, she partnered with student groups to create events around the natural hair industry and those of color, as well as spoke on various panel discussions regarding natural hair the psychological impact it has on Black women. She hosts events and mixers to promote the natural beauty of Black women and is also the creator of branded events to discuss the relationships and interactions between Black Men and Women around natural hair. She is adamant about advocating the natural beauty of Black woman, as well as natural and holistic means of maintaining beauty and wellness.
